Al-Ahsa Oasis is one of the Kingdom’s most prominent tourist destinations and one of its most important sites listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, thanks to its wealth of archaeological landmarks and cultural treasures that trace human settlement in the region back to the Neolithic era.
Trip Program:
Day One
Arrive safely in Al-Ahsa at noon, head to the hotel, check in, and take a short break.
2:30 p.m. Lunch at Dar Basma Tourist Restaurant
4:00–10:00 p.m. A tour of Al-Hofuf and Al-Mubarraz, the largest cities in Al-Ahsa, organized as follows:
A tour of Ibrahim Palace and downtown Al-Hofuf, which embody the province’s origins
A visit to Al-Amiriyah School, one of the first academic schools
Visit the Jowatha Mosque and Tourist Park, tour the Hasawi House, and spend an evening at the park
Second day
3:00 PM – 9:00 PM: A tour of the heart of the Green Oasis, which contributed to its designation as a World Heritage Site:
Visit a model farm (the Rose and Al-Hassawi Farm) that simulates the life of a farmer harvesting crops
Visit the Land of Civilizations at Jabal al-Qara, explore its famous caves, and take souvenir photos of the mountain
Transfer to 4×4 vehicles for a safari through the sand dunes to Lake Al-Asfar, followed by a break at Ta’as Abu Al-Musafir, then return
7:30 p.m. Dinner at a tourist restaurant
Day Three
2:30 p.m. Enjoy a special lunch featuring traditional dishes at the Al-Kout Heritage Hotel restaurant
4:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Tour of historic downtown Al-Hofuf and shopping
A visit to the local bakery to buy the brown bread for which Al-Ahsa is famous
Visit the Qaisariya Market and check out some of Al-Ahsa’s crafts and products, as well as the famous Al-Sayyid coffee
Visit the Artisans’ Market to see the creative works of Al-Ahsa’s artisans and purchase gifts
