Al-Tahimiya Mosque was named after the village of Al-Tahimiya in which it is located, and the village was famous in the past for the presence of many mosques. The name of the village was called (Forty Mosques)village in the eighth and ninth centuries AH because of the spread of mosques in it, which date back to 800 years ago. Al-Tahimiya Mosque was built of mud and in the old style. It contains three porticoes and an outer courtyard surrounded by a short wall.
