A heritage site and a historical educational edifice

The Amiri School is the first government school established in Al-Ahsa, from which science and education began, and the most prominent personalities of princes, ministers and businessmen graduated from it.

It is located in the center of the commercial center on the Umm Al-Khabees plateau. It was opened on Monday, Muharram 11, 1360 AH. It is considered the first regular government school supervised by the state. It contained internal housing for students coming to study from outside Al-Ahsa, and it was distinguished as the first school on the eastern coast. Many princes and decision-makers in the country graduated from it.
